Nestled in the charming streets of Split, Cafe Kala is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a vibrant hub for both locals and visitors alike. Located at Ul. Majstora Jurja 15, this cozy cafe offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, serving some of the finest brews in a relaxed atmosphere.

The cafe prides itself on its friendly service, making each guest feel welcome. From the moment you step inside, the warm smiles from the staff create an inviting environment that feels like home. Customers rave about the love and attention that emanates from the team, especially those who take the time to engage in a friendly chat or speak a few words of Croatian. This convivial spirit echoes through the reviews, like that of Mackers, who has enjoyed the “best vibes” here for years.

Coffee enthusiasts will appreciate the decently priced options available, especially given the rising prices throughout Split. The espresso, in particular, receives high praise for its robust flavor, making it a perfect start to your day or a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up. Reviewers like Gabrijel Vukojević emphasize the outstanding quality of the coffee, especially when you compare it to the prices around the old town—it's a steal!

While Cafe Kala is primarily a coffee bar and does not offer a full food menu, **the atmosphere is great for those looking to unwind with a drink**. If you need a spot to catch up on work or just relax, the strong Wi-Fi and serene setting during quieter hours make it an ideal backdrop. As Dylan Warren aptly noted, it's perfect for working on your laptop with minimal distractions.

The outdoor seating area is particularly enticing, allowing you to soak in the beauty of Split while enjoying your favorite brew. With the quaint surroundings and a mix of locals and tourists, it’s a place where you can truly get a feel for the city’s culture. Many patrons find that the cafe is located just off the beaten path, lending it a less touristy feel while still being conveniently situated for those who know where to go. Christian L. highlights this secretive jewel perfectly: great coffee in a stunning location that feels like a true local experience.

For those looking to savor a drink beyond coffee, Cafe Kala also offers a wonderful selection of local beers and a few delightful fruit teas and smoothie options, catering to various preferences. The winery’s atmosphere is complemented by the love for Hajduk, the local sports club, making it a popular hangout for fans eager to share their passion for local sports.

Whether you're a long-time resident or a curious traveler, a visit to Cafe Kala is highly recommended. With its engaging ambiance, excellent customer service, and quality drinks, it serves not just coffee, but a genuine slice of Split life. As John D beautifully concluded, this cafe is "definitely worth a visit." So, grab a seat at one of the colorful outdoor tables, sip on a delicious brew, and immerse yourself in the heart of Split’s vibrant culture—your goto spot awaits!

Been coming here for years. Decently priced coffee (given the inflation in Split), and super friendly staff. They love when you speak Croatian and support Hajduk at this local-filled pub. They also offer fruit teas and smoothie type drinks now. This is one of my serious go-to spots in the city, happy to keep supporting them and some of the best vibes you can get.

Nice little coffee bar Great location both inside and out. Very friendly service, happy to chat a bit and give some local tips. My conclusion: definitely worth a visit! By the way, moderate prices, extra praise for that! We would love to come back!

Super friendly and welcoming staff. Went in the morning to do work on my laptop/computer and the place was empty and wifi was strong. Only downside is no food and the coffee is good but not the best. That being said it is a cafe-bar so it’s not supposed to really have food.

Its back open since today they told me its new owners. Great espresso and good choice of beers. The location is stunning, but not on a main way, so less touristy but very close for people who know!

Great service and best priced drinks I’ve found in this location. Around €4 for a beer and €2 for a brandy
